As we focus upon missionary work, the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19-20 is directing us. May the Lord's light shine through us to the people we contact. Personal and corporate evangelism is to be part of each believer's life in response to the Gospel.
In addition to individual evangelism, the congregaton of Lamb of God Lutheran Church has chosen to focus collectively on two areas for mission work:
- Haiti (foreign mission)
- Zion Lutheran School of Snohomish County (local mission)
May the Lord strengthen us as we support our foreign and local missions through prayer, time and resources.
Our Haiti Mission
Members of Lamb of God Lutheran Church, working together with Reverend Daniel Paul and his congregation in Haiti, are helping to build an orphanage in Ouanaminthe, located on the northeast part of the island near the border of the Dominican Republic. During the summers of 2003, 2005 and 2007 the Lamb of God mission team traveled to Haiti to help construct the orphanage and lead children in vacation Bible school. Click here to view a map of Haiti.
Our Mission to Zion Lutheran School
In 2001 Lamb of God Church joined with four area Missouri Synod Lutheran churches to support Zion Lutheran School both financially and spiritually. As a member of the Lutheran School Assocation of Shohomish County, Lamb of God provides an active on-site chaplain ministry to Zion students ranging in age from preschool through eighth grade. Our members also provide a scholarship fund to help church families defray tuition costs.
